In the decorated facility, most of the monitors remained at the post-production studio Main Road Post. Huge diode walls were created in the CG.

One of our goals was to create the look of a modern army, to show how the army should look - clear, transparent, smart. We wanted to show, that this is not a dumb aggressive organization, but a place where honest people work for the good of the country. Probably a fictional reality can form the real one. In any case, I believe in it.

Government bunker. This place was the prime minister’s point of contact with the military command centre. It was necessary to separate these two interiors, similar in structure, with rows of tables and chairs and huge monitors around the perimeter. To achieve this, we took fundamentally different locations as the basis. They were a radial construction and a rectangular one. We located the meeting and communications bunker in Skolkovo, in Matryoshka. It space dictated the round shape of structure. I only emphasized this form by furniture installation. Tables illumination went together with them,  It were long inclined surfaces on the outer edge of them. Lights did not crush the shape, but emphasized it. This gave a local solution to the light on portraits and a general circle design.

In a parallel to the high-tech military and scientific world the human world exists. The Hekon dwelling belonged to that one - a quiet dacha near Moscow, built of hewn logs in Soviet times. A neglected garden, thickets of grass, a moss-covered roof emphasized its deep connection with the nature. The contrast to this was only a hightec plant for growing lettuce in the house. It  provided Hekon with clean food and income, and remind his connection with water.

The continuation of the theme was Google’s grandmother’s apartment.

It was constructed in a studio partly.

Another example of the daily lives was the university audience.

Since the film is a sequel, we could not miss Chertanovo, where spaceship crashed in the first part. We assumed that the story of the first part was mythologised and turned into graffiti there. We found that murals in the beginning, on the main hero’s run.

With all its incredible events, this is also a film about Moscow. We wanted to show all that best, that has happened to the city last years. This is City skyscrapers, Zaryadye Park, new transportation rings and many other places.

The film ends in one of the most incredible places of Russia. In Kamchatka. It's power of a natural beauty triumphs victory over a digital world and virtual communication.
